Pulmonary Medicine

Pulmonary Medicine is a medical specialty that treats conditions and diseases affecting the lungs. Southern New Hampshire Health has board-certified pulmonologists who provide comprehensive treatment of lung disease in both children and adults.

For our youngest patients, we offer the specialty outpatient services of a highly trained pediatric pulmonologist from Massachusetts General Hospital for Children.

Adult patients are treated by pulmonologists with expertise and board certification in Critical Care Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Pulmonology patients with suspected sleep disorders may be evaluated at our Sleep Center.

The Health System also offers a pulmonary rehabilitation program that has achieved national certification and recognition from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Designed to improve quality of life, this program is for patients with chronic lung disease, such as emphysema, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), chronic bronchitis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, and other lung diseases and injuries.
