The National Guard has deployed a seven-person team to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center to increase operational capacity for staffing during this latest surge in the COVID-19 pandemic. The team will be on site through February.
“Staffing in health care across New Hampshire continues to be a challenge. Our community is pulling together to provide the best care for as many patients as possible by adapting, and going above and beyond,” said Scott Cote, Vice President for Facilities Planning and Operations for Southern New Hampshire Health. “We are thankful to receive this additional support, which helps to expand our staffing capacity in various critical areas across the hospital.”
The National Guard team will work alongside SNHMC staff to help with a variety of tasks, including assisting with the COVID testing process, door screening/greeting, food service, patient transportation, employee health needs, materials management, and more.
