We are proud to announce that Southern NH Medical Center has received recertification from DNV as a
Primary Stroke Center. DNV is a global independent certification, assurance and risk management provider, operating in more than 100 countries.
The DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification is based on standards set forth by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association and affirms that SNHMC addresses the full spectrum of stroke care – diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and education – and establishes clear metrics to evaluate outcomes.
Director of the Center for Quality and Safety Rori Dawes-Dyment says, “SNHMC is proud to have maintained its status as a DNV Primary Stroke Center for nearly a decade. Since our initial recognition in 2014, DNV’s requirements for certification have evolved significantly to reflect ever-changing advances in stroke care. By achieving this 4
th consecutive certification, SNHMC demonstrates that it is at the forefront of these changes and has the right combination of equipment, personnel, and training to quickly assess and treat strokes. Further, this certification assures our community that we have the resources and commitment to provide the best possible stroke care.”
