In-Home Experience
Depending on your condition, a more affordable option available is in-home sleep studies, offered to patients over the age of 18. Some of the benefits of an in-home study include:
-
Comfort – you are evaluated in the comfort of your own home
-
Realistic evaluation – testing is based on a normal night’s sleep rather than on your tendencies in an unfamiliar environment
-
Lower cost – in-home studies can be less expensive than in-lab studies depending on your insurance coverage
What To Expect
You will be given a small device that tracks and records your sleep patterns. Our sleep technicians will train you on how to use the device when you pick it up at the sleep center. You will use the device that same night and return it the next morning where a specialist will analyze the data and send the results to your doctor.
Cost
In-home sleep studies are covered by some health insurance plans. The out-of-pocket cost is $1,300*.
*Prices are approximate and may vary depending on test complexity and tests performed.
