When your child needs hospital care, trust the Pediatric Unit at Southern New Hampshire Health to provide compassionate, specialized treatment in a comforting environment. Our secure, 8-bed facility is staffed by experienced pediatric hospitalists and nurses who prioritize your child’s health and well-being. With round-the-clock coverage, we ensure your child receives expert care 24/7, whether they’re an infant, toddler, or teen up to age 18.

We prioritize teamwork, partnering closely with your child's Pediatric Provider and top specialists from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to ensure seamless and comprehensive care. Your care team may include: respiratory therapists, dieticians, case managers, chaplains, lactation consultants, and physical/occupational therapists.

Your child’s care team includes pediatric hospitalists, nurses, and specialists from Southern NH Health and Massachusetts General Hospital. Depending on your child’s needs, the team may also involve:

Our Pediatric Unit features four private and two semi-private rooms, all equipped with central monitoring capabilities for your child’s safety and comfort. A dedicated playroom stocked with games and toys offers a welcoming space for your child to relax and feel at ease during their stay.

At Southern New Hampshire Health, our pediatric team created a special book featuring Ellie the Stuffed Elephant to help children and parents navigate the hospital experience. This heartwarming story introduces kids to the tools and procedures used during care, easing fears and fostering understanding.
