Message from the Chief Nursing Officer

Susan Santana DNP, MBA, RN, NE-BC

I had the great honor of joining Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in January of 2022. From the very first day, I have been extremely impressed by the dedication and commitment of the team. As a four-time Magnet® organization, there is an amazing culture of excellence that is filled with care and compassion for the work that they do, and the drive to provide the highest quality
of patient care is second to none.

I want to take a moment to recognize the tireless work that has been accomplished over the past few years during the COVID19 pandemic. Our entire staff locked arms and made the impossible possible. The team
redesigned the care space in the emergency department, expanded ICU capacity, offered testing and ambulatory care for the community and at the same time held the highest standards of safety with personal protective equipment needed to care for this population.

My vision for nursing aligns with the culture here at Southern; to have an environment that empowers the voice of everyone to improve outcomes. I plan to use the Magnet framework and focus on teamwork to achieve our common goal. I’m confident that we will continue to exceed the expectations of our patients and their families and deliver the best care possible.

I am both thrilled and honored to lead this team of professionals and I look forward to continued growth in nursing excellence.
