Profile
Amanda Egli, a certified family nurse practitioner, earned both a B.S. in nursing and a Master of Science from Regis College in Weston, MA.
“I love working in all aspects of primary care,” Egli says. “I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, including newborns.” A former labor and delivery nurse, she says she has a special interest in women’s health.
“What I like most about being a primary care provider is that you are able to follow a patient through their lifespan and develop a relationship with them,” Egli says. “Having a long-term relationship with a patient allows the patient to have a comfort level with you and develop a real level of trust.”
She explains that trust is something that is earned “by listening to a patient and acknowledging what they’re saying.”
Being a mother to two children also has given Egli a better understanding of the challenges and stresses faced by her patients who are parents.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, including traveling on a quest to see all of the states in the U.S.
